How To Make Toilet Paper Roll Racing Cars

How To Make Toilet Paper Roll Racing Cars

Toilet paper rolling cars

No more “I’m bored” situations. Today we make racing cars!

What will you need?

Toilet paper rolls.
Colourful acrylic paint.
Thumbtacks.
Black & White Cardboards.
Scissors.
Pencil.
Brushes.
Strong glue and white glue.

Material necesary

Step by Step

1. Start painting the roll with acrylic paint, to our liking, and let it dry for about 20 minutes, children can easily do this step, the more colored rolls you paint, the more strollers will come out.

Step by step 1

2. Once the roll has dried, with a pencil, draw a 2.5 × 5 cm rectangle and draw a line in the center of the figure.

Step 2

3. Cut the middle line with a cutter. This will be the car seat.

Step 3 rolling cars

4. Separate the seat flaps

Step 4

This will give the impression that it is the backrest of the seat.

Seat

5. On a black cardboard cut a rectangle of 2.5cmx7 cm and put it in the hole of the seat, you stick it from the saddle. Let it dry.

6.On another piece of black cardboard, I draw 4 circles that will be the wheels (we have taken as a template a coin of 50 cents, and draw, on white cardboard, other smaller circles, they will be the covers.

Step 6.1

7. Paste white circles on blacks.

8. Once everything is dry, put thumbtacks on each wheel, if you put a point of strong glue will not come out.

Rolling cars

9. Now we only have to customise your cars, we have made drawings of rays, stars, faces for drivers and even gas that will escape through the exhaust pipe. All this you stick with white glue. Ready for the race!

Final result

Look at the funny faces we have come up with!

As at home we have a carpet that is a road we have used to make the races, if you do not have, you can prepare a circuit, drawn or with obstacles that you have at home.

Fun assured all afternoon!
